Visa Requirements for Entry into South Korea
All participants planning to attend ICQT 2025 in South Korea are advised to check their visa or K-ETA eligibility well in advance. The Republic of Korea offers visa-free entry to citizens of many countries for short-term visits such as tourism or attending academic conferences. Depending on nationality, the visa-free stay is typically up to 30 or 90 days.
Please note:

K-ETA (Korea Electronic Travel Authorization) is required for most visa-free travelers.Apply at least 72 hours before departure via www.k-eta.go.kr.

Nationals of countries without visa waiver agreements or diplomatic ties with Korea must obtain a visa in advance.

Important: Letters of invitation are generally issued only to registered participants or authors of accepted abstracts. If you are not a registrant or a listed contributor, issuance of a letter may be restricted.
